output:reflect:input was a collaborative show between myself, painter Alison Coleman and painter Patrick FitzGerald. It was hosted by SEEK Raleigh at the Birdland Gallery in Raleigh, NC. The show combined motion tracking, generative graphics, and projection with Alison’s and Patrick’s works.
Gallery Setup - Birdland Gallery, Raleigh, North Carolina
The show consisted of two pieces. The first combined Patrick’s prints with generative, real-time animation which allowed each viewer to experience a unique interpretation of Patrick’s work.
The second piece projected generative graphics with an interactive soundscape atop Alison’s work, allowing the viewer to reach out toward the canvas to reveal the visuals atop of the print. A potentiometer control allowed the viewer to blend between the two interactively.
